What makes you unique compared to other wedding photographer’s?
My philosophy has always been simple- First and foremost understanding that the wedding day is NOT about me! Each wedding day is a unique day that can not be recreated, and often requires making complete overhaul adjustemtns to camera settings in mere seconds in order to capture candid moments! So after years investing in my gear, my training, my understanding of lighting, and post production editing- I feel uber confident that whatever YOU guys might need on YOUR big day- it’s my job to help bring that vision to life without adding any stress or undue burden to the day!
Second- we are proud to be full time “camera” creatives! Our passion IS our career, and as full time photo/video creators, we seek providing the best quality and service because at the end of the day- it’s what provides for us! ! Being such, you can rest assured that if you need access to me at ANY point in the booking process I am one phone call, text, or email away!
How long before I have my photo’s and/or video back?
I will have your materials back to you within 4-6 weeks unless other-wise noted in our wedding contract!
Again- we spend some serious time, and take serious pride, in our editing and post production process! I take time to hand edit every image that you receive back in your wedding gallery, and each image is exported in a high-quality (300 DPI) format that is primed for print or digital sharing! I however do not share every single image I shoot and will not release unedited images to the clients… We can talk more about this in the booking consultation.
How long have you been doing weddings?
We have been shooting weddings on the side for over 3 years, and love it so much that we are now devoting our full time to it!
Yes! In fact we offer special package pricing for destination weddings and elopement styled weddings… We love covering these adventures no matter the size: small and intimate wedding in the back country, or big and bright on the beach! You name it, we’ll make sure to capture images you’ll never forget!
DO you shoot destination and/or elopement weddings?
For various reasons, yes we do charge for the time between events , but for the most part we are never really resting during the day. Between breaking down gear, taking detail pictures, venue pictures, or setting up for the next serious of events- we are always aiming to stay busy creating magic for you! The only real down time we take is to eat! And we try to eat when the bride is eating in order to make sure everyone is being properly nourished.
There is downtime planned in my wedding day- will I be charged for that?
Shoot me a message that you’re interested! Submit a form below, or shoot me a message on any social media platform so we can connect!
Should the date you’re seeking be available, we set up a phone consultation or meet up at the studio or maybe out for some coffee to get to know each other and make sure we would be a good fit to capture your wedding.
All goes well up to this point- we get a signed contract, and half down (non-refundable) deposit and you’re locked in!!
What are the steps to reserving my booking date with you?
We are booking weddings anywhere from 9 to 16 months in advance for wedding photography. We service larger markets in Kansas and St. Louis where our weddings tend to book farther in advance so best practice is line up your date/venue, and then if you think we might have any chance of being apart of you wedding day, drop us a line and let’s get in touch.
How far out are you booking?
Each price package serves us as a starting point based on hours of coverage you would need for the day. During our consultation we help to you dial in an informal timeline and make sure that you’re getting what you need and not what we want to sell you, or what we make the most money on. So while the package price may adjust due to add-ons and take-offs that are unique to each persons day, our prices are based on what it take for us to run this as a full time business and provide utmost quality and service to our clients. It is a fantastic if you have a friend or a relative who is interested in capturing your wedding day for a steal of a price! But be sure to qualify them in the same manner that you would any other photographer… Remember that this is a day that cannot be relived and in most weddings we have to make major camera adjustments in the matter of seconds with lighting changes: and shooting a wedding with a camera on “auto” mode will surely leave an unhappy bride/groom when you recap the day… I will do my best to take your budget into consideration, and build a suitable offering around it, but we do not believe in sacrificing the quality of our service. “The Bitterness of Poor Quality Remains Long After the Sweetness of Low Price is Forgotten”.
I have “Insert Friend or Family member” that will shoot our wedding for much cheaper- can you come off your price?
Don’t worry- you’re not alone on this lol I understand that we are asking you to have an approximate timeline established many times over a year in advanced when you havn’t even had time to consult with your out of town relatives to see what time everyone will be in town. Our most popular packages tend to be 8 hours of coverage but some days are unique and we do have an option for that as well. I always suggest thinking about your ceremony time and planning back wards from there. If you have the chance to consult with a wedding planner about using their services I would suggest doing so: they relieve a lot of the planing stress around the day and do their very best not to miss the small details. I have a list of a few I’d even recommend. I have a blog post that provides a suggestive template with ideal times for best taking advantage of your wedding photographer in my wedding education resource center.
